Sys-K did not attack anyone... SE informed IT they would reset them to have "good fights", IT responded by telling them they are not interested in "good fights" and will invade them in full force if SE reset them. Liam (sys-k leader) tried to convince SE not to be foolish. Liam informed them sys-k will not be taking sides since both SE and IT were our allies. SE still went on with resetting IT and were shortly after invaded. At that point it was unclear where coven would side. It was sys-k's hope that unlike SE they would see reason.
Now it is clear that coven will be helping SE (which is to be somewhat commendable) and apparently try to make sys-k look like the bad guys for trying to resolve this diplomatically instead of rushing head first in to a (most likely) hopeless situation.
Ye, I love playing EVE... Especially because of the diplomacy and talking... Kinda gets the blood to boil... 
Now a more interesting question, Liam, where does your loyalty stand? IT or -A-? When those 2 alliances cross horns in the future, to which side will you turn for cover? I gotta agree with the ex-Delve dwelling worm there, dont see IT or -A- helping you on this one. Plus, you are defending space. Coven and SE have a battle hardened group constantly dwelling in Stain. They are far more superior then you at station games, roams, ganks, putting pressure. And lets not forget Brick Squad. Im pretty sure they will take a side in this hostile encounter. Not officially, of course. Somehow I dont see them siding with Systematic Chaos.
Also, SE and Coven are pvpers. Which makes them a very, very valuable asset in any global encounter. You, my friend, are merely a statistic which brings in isk. And anyone, basically any alliance, who wanna sit home in their granted space and take care of the household can do that. So you are expendable. A mere combustion of numerics, functions and mathematics in an Excel worksheet when it comes to paying taxes.
The Legacy of Stain will endure.
